Anonymous August 7, at PM. Unknown August 3, at AM. Hello, I was trying this out but По этой ссылке stopped when Жмите setup only offered me options to keep my files or nothing at all. Thanks for sharing these details here. If you can share the screenshot of the steps, i would really appreciate.

Change Windows Edition from Enterprise to Professional

I did the procedure, but when I am going to downgrade to pro edition, it says: "This upgrade path is not supported. Please close Setup and re-launch from the root of the media or go back and pick a different installation choice. Please let me know what I have to do. I did the procedure, but in the final stage when I am going to downgrade to Pro version, it says: "This upgrade path is not supported.

Then I ran Windows Update and it installed the Win10 upgrade app! Did not need the separate Win8. Fantastic Post! Thank you so much for sharing this one really well defined all peaceful info, well really like it,Keep it up Love it- Enterprise Mobile App Development.

I also needed to update both locations. To simplify this, here is a. Here's another method to downgrade Windows I downloaded the Windows Downgrader.

Checking compatibility … than I got the following report; Windows 7 Enterprise cannot be upgraded to Windows 7 Professional. You can choose to install a new copy of windows 7 Professional instead, but this is different from an upgrade, and does not keep your files, settings, and programs.

To save your files before installing Windows, back them up to an external location such as a CD, DVD, or external hard drive. Is there any suggestion how can I succeed the downgrade? Thank you Joe. I have a valid licensed version of Windows 7 'Enterprise.

I changed my registry keys from Enterprise to Professional as described in the original OP. I then attempted to install Windows 10 from the Microsoft Upgrade site.

I had to abort my quest when Windows 10 setup asked me for a license key. The system remains at Windows 7 Enterprise with modified registry keys. Dear mr. Hoogendoorn, Thank you very much for this procedure you described at the start of this blog. Was wondering if in step 8 install Windows 8. Kind regards Jan. If Windows 8.

Hi Henk, I don't have much knowledge on these, but I tried. If you can share the screenshot of the steps, i would really appreciate.

Hi Henk, Thanks for all of the info and the further posts from other users. I thought I would add my experience in case it helps someone else coming here. I wanted to update from 8. I made the registry changes as you described but was unable to run either the Windows 10 install or the Windows 8.

Every time, it asked for a key and no matter which key I tried to put in - a valid 8. Were you asked for a key at any point? Anyway, I had fairly much given up so I ran the latest updates for 8. A few minutes after, the 'Update to Windows 10' icon appeared in the systray.

I thought I might as well give it a go, not expecting very much or waiting for it too to ask for a key but it installed Windows 10 Pro no problem. I went to activate, which at first didn't work presumably because it still had details of the 8.

Job done, and all my machines are finally on Windows Hi Henk, I have a funky little problem. I had a Technet subscription for several years and upgraded my computer which came with Windows 7 Home Premium to Windows 8 and then 8. I can't find the product key that I used from the technet installation. Can I possibly use the same steps to down grade to Home Premium because that sticker is on the bottom of my computer? Or do you have any other thoughts?

It's all been legal and ethical upgrades. But I don't really need enterprise on this computer, but really would like to move to Windows I much prefer it, but couldn't for a few months because of a contract requiring Windows 8. Hope it helps!

Is this still working? I did the reg-hacks on a Windows 7 Enterprise system, but right at the beginning I get error 0x and the installation is aborted. I'm using installer Windows10Upgrade This seems to work. I got the key question and now the installation is running. Fingers crossed.

I upgraded early from my Windows 8. Beside of, I got everyday new updates from Microsoft server, That's why I disappointed with performance of new OS, That's why I format it and again install windows 8.

Last week, I read at your blog as Microsoft has stopped continually updates and now we may use constant windows 10, So I purchased its license and upgraded my OS. Now its working well. Thanks for providing us great information and support. Henk Hoogendoorn - does this possebilty still working and do I need to change registry still to win8.

Why it is not working right from win7 enterprice to win10 pro If I'm change registry like this win is win7 pro? I downloaded and install windows 10 creator update, But I did not like it. After installation Microsoft shows downgrade option early after upgrading to Windows 10 and remove it after one month. I recently upgrade my windows 8.

I think Its not Windows 10, Its version should be windows 6 as it has many faults. I tried to downgrade back to my existing win 8.

I thought that I'll downgrade after two month But after two month when I tried again, Microsoft removed that option. Now what to do. I searched and found your post, Which is very helpful for me. Thanks for sharing these details here. Now I have to install updates and it still trashed Office. IT is what it is so you better make a complete backup with Macrium b 4 doing this. Wednesday, June 10, Downgrading Windows 7 or 8.

Let's have a look how to do that. Just remember, it's probably not a valid downgrade, but it works perfectly. As long you have a valid product key, nothing illegally is done.

Give that a try on one of the machines that you "care the least about".

Back it up, or better yet take an image of it first in case it doesn't work. The best way here is to do a clean install on one laptop to windows 7 pro, then if they are all the same make and model take an image using clonezilla, run the image to the other laptops and then change the required information such as license keys etc. Now run the windows 10 upgrade from a USB to upgrade all the machines, that is by far the fastest way I can think of without spending any money.

There's no direct upgrade or downgrade from Pro to Enterprise or Enterprise to Pro. You're looking at clean installs. However, if the machines have 7 or 8 Pro COAs, you can clean install 10 and use those keys. Clonezilla gets into reimaging which is volume license territory. You'd only need one 10 VL, but it's still money.

Windows 7 Enterprise is very specifically excluded from the free upgrade to Windows The license cannot be downgraded, even with SA. Reinstalling an OEM version of 7 Pro just to upgrade to 10 Pro is probably more labor than it's worth unless you're talking about a handful of machines.

Even then you need to take employee downtime into consideration. If you can swap a spare, it might be worth it. If not, the lost productivity will cost more than a Windows 10 license. If so, fine, but statements like "there is not cost but labor" miss the actual cost of labor entirely. Then first, they're not licensed. You will need to pay for licenses. Best of my knowledge there is no way around that for you. No Freebies! We own licences just pro licences not enterprise.

We are trying to correct this will most likely have to do the fresh install of pro then upgrade to I would try using the media creation tool to make a win10Pro disk and go from there. This topic has been locked by an administrator and is no longer open for commenting.

To continue this discussion, please ask a new question. I manage several M tenants all with Security Defaults enabled and in one specific tenant, for some reason, no users including Global Admins are able to create a Team directly in the Teams app using the "Join or create a team" option. This option IS Do you take breaks or do you keep going until you complete the 6 steps of debugging?

Today I overcame a, what I thought was a major problem, minor challenge. We just got don Good afternoon and welcome to today's briefing. Hope you are starting to enjoy the warmer weather up in the north it has been pretty awesome.
